Time for an update!

Well over the past couple weeks since I've last written my team is sitting at 69 1/2. I tried to upgrade the four accounts to wotlk yesterday but was unable to. The site just kept giving me and invalid credit card number which is funny because I just put the four accounts monthly subscription on that same card. So I'll need to call in today to upgrade them over then phone. This has seem to be a reoccurring thing, first I had trouble creating my trial account then upgrading them to vanilla wow and lastly once again upgrading them to bc.

Hopefully I'll be completing the first set of quest tonight along with getting some professions up. My tailoring on the priest is sitting at a nice 359 so as soon as northrend comes along I'll be making tons of frostweave bolts from all that I saved up on my shammy. My enchanting on the druid is at 277 and I'm waiting for a random spawn enchant in uc. It was there yesterday but I didn't realize it was soulbound lmao and bought it on my pally. I only need enchanting to be high enough to de northrend gear. My shamans enchanting is at 438ish and is also an inscriptionist so I'll be send all the de'd mats to the shaman who will return some vellums.

I'm still undecided on where I want to start questing once I hit northrend. I'm thinking about staying out of instances until at least 71. This guide seems to be aimed at multi-boxers so I might just end up using that in between instancing.

I started a level 19 warsong gulch group of 4 locks and a priest. Currently they are level 14. I'm not planning on twinking them out or anything they are more of a way for me to have fun when I'm bored of raiding or leveling the team. I'm also considering starting a 4 pally shaman team for some pvp fun.

For my main PvE team I've been toying around with the idea of switching out something to fit in a warlock then switching out the priest for the shaman as a healer and spec'ing the priest as shadow for a little dot me up fun. Although I think this might incur too much micromanagement. I am also toying with the idea making a disc/shadow build and setting up the shaman and druid for backup heals when needed.

62 with instances on farm

So I dinged 62 yesterday and I'm sitting at 96%. After almost a full day of wiping on the last part of ramps I finally got the dumb dragon down. Haha in the picture you'll notice my pallys health is way low, funny thing is I died shortly after. On vent they heard a "hell yea" followed by an "oh fuck".

I switch to using Elkano's Buffbars to make it a little easier to track my buffs and know when to toss the priest shield on me. I'm pretty positive that the turning point took place after switching my priest from a CoH build to a deep disc/glyphed holy nova build. This build works onders because it prevents the fire damage rather than healing through it. Holy nova will proc Divine Aegis putting protective shields around party members helping to reduce the fire damage taken. So far this build is still working outside of ramps it's taken me all the way through blood furnace without a hiccup.

Haha this screeny shows me getting my 50 quest achievement. I busted up laughing, 50 quest and I'm 60.
My plans now are to stay in hellfire for about another half a level then head off to do the Coilfang instances. I'm trying to decide whether I should stop at 70 and get my skinning and mining up or just wait until 80. 70-80 I do not plan on doing very many quests, I will once again restrict myself to instances along with doing the three ring-of-blood like quests. So I won't miss many opportunities to mine or skin and can level those as I do quests at 80.

Lastly I am in the beginning stages of developing a multi-boxing addon. This is similar to Jamba but I am writing it from scratch simplifying a lot of the options that have been put into that addon along with adding some new features.

New features:
  • Durability reporting
  • Builtin cooldown monitor

Ding 58!

Well yesterday these guys all dinged 58 in BRD, cleared everything including emperor. BRD is so epic and fun, wish it was still a raid. After upgrading the accounts to BC I'll head to Outlands do some quest and get into ramps asap. Truthfully I'm going to miss BRD, I love the vanilla instances and wish blizz would have let them be rather than taking the nerf stick to them. I think it would have been cool if they had left a handful of servers at 60 for people who want to experience the horror of a 40 man as designed. I definitely would have an alt there. But I understand why they didn't and don't.

As for my UI, I don't have a clean screenshot but I do have one from dinging 58 that should suit for what I'd like to show.

The way I designed this was to allow me to monitor my party buffs along with their active targets which sit in between the party frames and the target frame stack. Down the center sit my target with debuffs (should change it to buffs for purge and spellsteal), under that sits my frame with buffs and omen so I can monitor the party's threat as I watch everybody's health. To the right sits aura's and 2x12 bars. Top bar holds spells that I use occasionally, along with assisting and mount macros. The bottom row is used as my shared keys. 1 being used for my initial agro and 2 is my spamable dps button, 4-5 are my healing buttons, 7 is my buff button, 8 is still free, 9 is my consecration/arcane explosion (hello lycen). I'll update my macros further down. Jamba and recount are off to the side out of sit until I need them. Carbonite sits in the upper left corner until I need it.

Well here is a list of the visible addons:
  • Pitbull
  • Bartende4
  • Jamba
  • Recount
  • Omen
  • Carbonite
  • Pallypower
  • Chinchilla
  • MSBT
I need to add in decursive and build a macro to target part and cast cure spells. Eventually this will be turn into modifier keys to support cast from 3 toons.

My paladin's initial agro macro looks something like this:

/startattack
/castsequence reset=combat Avenger's Shield, Consecration

The spam dps looks like this:

/startattack
/cast [nocombat] Seal of Wisdom
/castsequence reset=combat Judgement of Wisdom, Hammer of Wrath

The spam macro also acts as my recast for my seal and since my Judgement sits on cd most of the time if I have a runner a can spam it to finish them off.

The only other macros I've modified are the shaman, priest and druid.

Shaman dps (insane dps at 58 around 500):

/castrandom Elemental Mastery, Chain Lightning, Flame Shock, Purge, Lightning Bolt

Druid dps (this seems to utilize the eclipse affect most of the time):

/castsequence reset=combat Wrath, Starfire, Wrath

Priest heal spells (heals are concentrated on tank with CoH for party wide):

/cast [target=Musani] Power Word: Shield

/castsequence [target=Musani] reset=14/combat Renew, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal

/cast [target=Musani] Circle of Healing

The second of the three basically tosses a Renew and spams Flash Heal until the Renew needs to be refreshed. Once I grab PoM I'll add that into the party heal macro with a modifier.

Well I decided to skip out on the videos but once I hit 80 I'll post a collaboration video of boss fights.

Ding 50!

Well this past week I hit 50 in ZF. I spent yesterday running through most of my class quest, the paladin redemption and my shaman totem quest. I'm skipping over my druid forms for the moment. Tonight I have 10 man naxx than I will head to ZF for a few more runs, try to get Jang'thraze the Protector and fraps the boss fights. I got Jang'thraze the Defender on my 10th run or so. After that I'll be heading to BRD.

Along with finishing some class quest I respecc'd all my toons, reworked some macros and finished my UI's. I will post those shortly with some addon information.
